Where to Eat Near Brussels Central Station? 7 Good Addresses
The Gare Centrale Neighborhood at a Glance
Brussels Central Station is a transit hub between the Grand Place, Mont des Arts and Rue Neuve. But between tourist traps and soulless chains, finding a good restaurant isn't always easy.
We tested and selected 7 reliable addresses, from quick lunch to a proper meal.
1. Croix100 — Rue d'Arenberg 44
Just 2 minutes walk from Gare Centrale, Croix100 offers a unique concept: the gourmet croissant. Savory or sweet, each croissant is filled like a complete dish. The Norwegian (salmon, guacamole, avocado, scrambled eggs) has become an institution at €16.50. Perfect for a quick but refined lunch, or a weekend brunch.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, weekends 10am-7pm
Budget: €12-20
Our Opinion: The best quality-to-originality ratio in the neighborhood.
2. Fin de Siècle — Rue des Chartreux
A Brussels institution for traditional Belgian cuisine: carbonnade, vol-au-vent, stoemp. Portions are huge and prices reasonable for downtown. Authentic Brussels bistro atmosphere.
Budget: €15-25
3. Bia Mara — Rue du Marché aux Poulets
Gourmet fish & chips with fresh fish of the day. Sides change regularly and homemade sauces make the difference. Perfect for a quick and original lunch.
Budget: €12-18
4. Peck 47 — Rue du Fossé aux Loups
Brussels' best pancakes, but also savory dishes for lunch. The atmosphere is cosy and service is quick — ideal between visits.

Italian cuisine in the magnificent setting of the Royal Galleries, 5 minutes from Gare Centrale. Fresh pasta is homemade and antipasti are generous.

The Brussels sandwich revisited. "Pistolets" (round rolls) are filled with fresh local products. It's quick, cheap and typically Belgian.

7. Manhattn's — Boulevard Anspach
Gourmet burgers in a New York atmosphere. Ingredients are quality and portions generous. A good bet for burger lovers.
Budget: €14-22
The Bottom Line
If you're pressed for time and want something original, head to Croix100 on Rue d'Arenberg: a gourmet croissant + a signature drink, and you're off in 20 minutes with a smile. For a more leisurely meal, Fin de Siècle is the Belgian address par excellence.
